When the K index hit 8 earlier in the day I knew if it held on after dark I would have to head out and try and get a pic.
It did, and a 1.5 hour drive to Preston Beach later - we were greeted with this amazing sight.
Aurora Australis is rare in WA, and this was captured at 32 degrees South.
