Autumn Aspen Night Sky
This was my first attempt at trying to get both the beautiful autumn aspen trees and the Milky Way. I foolishly got to this location after dark, as it was a pretty spontaneous and not a well thought out shoot at all. A snow storm was coming the next day, so I just decided after finishing a hike nearby, to try and go into the woods and shoot some images. Trying to find a hole big enough above to see the Milky Way while walking among the many Aspen trees (both standing and fallen trees) at night while carrying equipment and then trying to "paint the trees" with my head lamp while taking the photo (because I didnt bring anything else to use to light up the trees and have never even tried to do that before) was no easy task! It was super windy too, which is why the tree tops and many of the leaves are so blurry. I really wasnt sure how the image would turn out, but for my first try, and doing things the hard way, I think it turned out pretty neat
