Jupiter, Saturn and Venus line up since tonight here in Singapore about 2 plus hours after the sun had set in the west. The planets form a line and Venus was shining the brightest tonight. Venus was its greatest elongation tonight and it was extras shining today due to it being furthest away from the Sun today. The further away it is from the Sun, the brighter the planet appears in the night sky and the closer it appears. During a single year, Venus will reach this angular position once or twice a year as it zips past Earth in its orbit.
