I was hoping to get some shots of the almost-full moon on 19 October as it rose from behind a hill in Tseung Kwan O, but like hunters of old, nearby construction sites were working overtime. I liked how this crane framed the moon as it swung into view. My camera’s lost focus, though, was a reminder of the tension between industry and nature (on earth), satellites versus stars (in space). Here in Hong Kong, a clear, unobstructed view of our skies remains a luxury that we enjoy whilst we still can.
