During a G2-class geomagnetic storm on October 11, 2021, I briefly turned my attention towards the southern horizon to look at Jupiter and Saturn. Both the gas giants were surrounded in auroras as the northern lights pushed southward in the sky. At times Saturn was nearly lost in the glow of the auroras.
