Taken a few months back. Thought it was cool to see a popular brand logo in the sky.
Then it was very recently shared with me that this phenomena maybe what is called a fallstreak hole or a hole punch cloud. Supposedly rare. It’s large circular or elliptical gap that can appear in cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds and are formed when part of the cloud layer forms ice crystals that are big enough to fall.
Sharing here in case anyone else has more info.
