It was awesome to see many raptors at an exhibition held by two raptor rehabilitation centers. It was held at the Thacher Park Overlook (overlooking miles of land surrounding the Albany, NY area). This is the Broad-winged Hawk. We observed as many passed us by in the sky during their Fall migration. Large flocks are called "kettles" and they often soar on thermal air currents. They are headed to South America.
