I am an Amateur Radio Operator, license KK6LOP, and was assisting with the Skywarn situation director during a recent spat of Thunderstorms, when he mentioned a beautiful rainbow south east of town. I couldn't really see it from my radio room so I headed out to the front porch and when I saw it was quite bright and a double, I took this photo with my phone looking southeast from about the middle of Kingman, AZ. Those are the Hualapi (pronounced "who-all-a-pie") Mountains where we've had some recent fires from lightning strikes. I would have posted it then but had no idea how to do so. This isn't the first rainbow I've seen since moving here 10 years ago but it is the first double and I wanted to share it.
