Just a few weeks before opposition, I captured this image of Neptune and its moon, Triton, once the gas giant reached a decent elevation. I took a single two-second exposure at f/4.5 to get Triton. It was tricky as Neptune, even near opposition, requires optical aid to be seen among the dim stars of Aquarius.
