Canon M50, Samyang 8mm lens, Manfrotto Compact Action tripod.

Post-processing Details:

5x30" ISO1600 frames stacked in Sequator, contrast adjusted in GIMP.

Image Details:

The plan was to shoot from another spot around the corner - Lake Clifton, but a breeze was blowing there meaning an end to any Star reflections in the water. A quick drive to Island Point where it was glassed off nicely. By the time we setup I noticed a fire directly across from our location, which I think added to the scene, and was in direct line with the setting Milky Way (I also wanted to get some shots in before the smoke haze put and end to the night.
I chose not to defish the barrel distortion in this shot, to keep Venus in the frame on the right.
