PhotoScape was used to improve contrast.
The Photo shows the Sun a few minutes before setting on Aug. 26, 2021 with two major active regions 2859 and 2860 (twin cores). The glow of the Sun had been attenuated by a layer of mist that had brought into visibility the solar spots.
Important note: photo taken shortly after a solar tsunami and a coronal mass ejection had Just initiated from a flare in Active Region 2859.
