The moon has is now into the waning gibbous phase and was 93.4% full when this picture was taken this morning. Distance from Earth was 389,741 km and usually during this phase, the craters and mare are more visible and clear than during the full moon phase due to the amount of light that is reflected on the moon. Wherever we are on earth, imagine that we are looking at the same moon which connects all of us even though we not able to travel at this moment. The moon is a consolation.
