Saw this pied triller (Lalage nigra), a species of bird in the family Campephagidae. It is believed to be found in Brunei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. The male is distinct with black-and-white, with a white brow, extensive white wing patches, and clean white underparts. It does not usually trill but gives a range of low notes, particularly a nasal “checka-checkuh” and a rapid series of rattling, clacking, or whistled notes. Couldn't capture the bird in its full form as it was to fast for me but managed to get a close up view from my flat this morning.
