Around the Galactic Core of the Milky Way, the rest of our galaxy rotates. It is the true center of our galaxy. Here the celestial teapot is enlarged beside the main photo where you can make out the teapot in the lowermost part of the Milky Way Galactic Core. The teapot is an asterism made up of the 8 brightest stars of the constellation Sagittarius. The teapot is located right next to a dense area of the Milky Way. On this rare clear night the Milky Way looks like steam coming out of the spout of the teapot. The teapot can be used to locate several notable deep sky objects like clusters and nebulas located near it and the dense Milky Way field. In the photo, just northwest of the teapot is M8 The Lagoon Nebula and M21 The Trifid Nebula.
Kaus Australis is the brightest star of the teapot, seconded by Nunki aka Sadira, and Ascella, the third brightest star. Despite the light pollution on this location, one can see them.
