It was our National Day and the helicopter carrying the state flag made its way across the island high up in the sky for the people to celebrate and mark the occasion. Took this photo from a distance where the flypast was in progress above the primary forest in the foreground below. National Day of Singapore is celebrated on 9th August every year and this year marks the 56th year of commemoration of Singapore's independence from Malaysia in 1965.
