Hello EartSky,

We were hiking down from Burstall – Piggy Plus Col in Kananaskis, Alberta and saw the parhelion with a second ring angling out from it.

Both the parhelion and the second ring disappeared a few minutes after we saw them.

Can you possibly tell me what the second ring is and what might have caused it?
