The common flameback or common goldenback (Dinopium javanense) a species of bird in the family Picidae. It is found in Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The spot-throated flameback is sometimes considered a subspecies.
Spotted this sole woodpecker this morning just outside my window. After struggling for a while to capture it on camera due to its constant moving, managed to get a few shots of it. The bird is so beautiful and this is a male.
