The Third brightest star in the Earth's Sky Rigil Kentaurus (Alpha centauri) and the 11th brightest star Hadar (Beta centauri), in the constellation Centaurus, as seen in south direction early evening.
Rigil Kentaurus is the nearest star system to our sun, about 4.3 light years away and Hadar is about 360 light years away from Earth, while these two appears as single star, they both are actually a part of triple star system.
