Elymnias hypermnestra, the common palmfly, is a species of satyrine butterfly found in South and Southeast Asia. The Common Palmfly feeds on various types of palms and can be found wherever the food plant is available. Occasionally, the species may be quite abundant. Found one resting on this Palm tree near my house.
