Just when I was taking the pictures of the sunset , the long-tailed macaque also known as the crab-eating macaque suddenly appeared beside me. They live in close proximity to human populations and said to be highly intelligent. It is a commonly found species in Singapore and population numbers are believed to be some 1,500 individuals. They are mostly found in and on the fringes of our rainforest nature reserves. The species found in Singapore is said to be a smaller in size, different facial features and larger tail body-body ration than others found in neighbouring regions.
