This amazing photograph was captured on June 23, 2013 by EarthSky Facebook friend Kathleen Kingma and is surely a moment to remember for the entire family. Here’s what she said about it:

Image was captured last night with my Canon 5D Mark III and a rented 400mm f/4.5L lens and 2x converter. I was about 600 feet from the bridge. The clouds may have been a disappointment for the moon rise, but the magic was still there! Unfortunately, I was so tired last night that I published it with a 2012 watermark. Oops!

Thanks for sharing this memory with us Kathleen!
