Attorney

Anthony England, Attorney at Law, has served as EarthSky’s legal counsel since its inception. A graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and a former in-house attorney at IBM Corporation, Anthony has also successfully represented Schlumberger LTD, Microelectronics Computer Corporation, Emerson Electric Company and other major companies in intellectual property law matters. He is skilled in securing patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret protection and in the evaluation, clearance and enforcement of IP rights, including litigation support. Before becoming an attorney, Anthony was an electrical engineer who worked in the construction and oil and gas industry, most recently at Shell Oil Company, where he was a process control senior engineer. Because of his engineering background, he is as keen on technology as he is in patent law. He has been a good friend of Deborah Byrd since they attended high school together in San Antonio, Texas, and has been a fan for many years. Anthony says he has been happy to help with trademark and related intellectual property matters out of respect for our planet and the work of all the dedicated people at Earth & Sky, Inc. and EarthSky Communications.
