A pair of Canada geese swimming in the tide pool. With their big size and long black neck and head with the white band or white chin strap they are hard to miss. They are common to see this time of year. Most Canada geese pair with a mate at three years old, though some begin this process at age two. Then they usually stay together for life. If one member of a pair dies, the other goose finds another mate.
