Nikon D750, Sigma 14-24 mm lens at 14 mm. ISO 3200, 6 second exposure at f2.8.
Lightroom for brightness and contrast. No masking. AI noise reduction applied.
A pair of Geminid meteors on either side of the handle of the Big Dipper captured in a single 6 second exposure. A beautiful aurora was dancing for several hours as the Geminid meteors flashed. My camera captured more than 130 meteors between 9 pm and 2 am Dec 13-14 in this north-facing wide angle view. Eventually clouds moved in to obscure the fading aurora and the remainder of the meteor shower.
