Image Details:

December 6, 2023, marked the 25th anniversary of International Space Station operations. The football field-size vehicle flew pretty much right overhead of Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, that early evening, making about a 7 minute trek reflecting sunlight from horizon to horizon. This composite image of 13, 20-second exposures captures the final 4 minutes as seen from the Eagle Point Fishing Camp in San Leon as it traveled to the southeast horizon over Galveston Bay and disappeared in the Earth's shadow. Jupiter is looking on from the left and the "flaring" is from the light reflecting through the high, thin cloud layers.
