Williams Optics Redcat 71
TeleVue PowerMate 2.5x (~850mm)
Sony Alpha 6300 mirrorless camera
ZWO AM5 mount
PixInsight - single exposure
No surprise for the Pacific Northwest: it's been raining for weeks. So when I saw clear skies this morning, I had to act. I connected my Sony Alpha 6300 camera to a 2.5x TeleVue PowerMate then to a Williams Optics Redcat 71. I took pictures of Venus, the moon, and the sun. I took about 20 pictures to find the right exposure for the moon that captured the detail of the earthshine-illuminated "dark" part without diminishing the beautiful brilliance of the crescent.
