A few times every year, the sun, moon, and earth align in a way that causes extremely high tides, known as "king tides." These tides can cause significant flooding and they slam into the coast with amazing force. November 25th was a king tide day, so we traveled to a few spots on the coast. Here you can see two explosions of seawater as a bird flies overhead and a churning wave approaches for the next round.
