This eclipse I was able to use a star tracker to roughly track the sun across the sky which made interval shooting of the eclipse much easier and a timelapse video possible (though still under development). Additionally, I was able to reach out to relative 1400mm compared to the 900mm focal length utilized last eclipse which provided more detail in the surface of the Sun. I viewed the eclipse with family and friends in the beautiful hill country of Texas at Lost Maples State Natural Area. The sky started and ended cloudy, but we were fortunate that most of the eclipse was relatively clear, especially post max annularity.
