These are a set of cinder cones on the northeast flank of Mauna Kea. From left to right, we can identify the 5 distinct cones: Pu'u Mahoe (13,154'), Hoaka (12,076'), Ala (12,610'), Red Hill (11,863), Makanaka (12,414') and Poe'poe (12,679'). Most of these were used by ancient Hawaiians as their burial grounds.
