Image Details:

The Dark Shark Nebula - LDN 1235. Insert your favorite quote from Jaws here. The Dark Shark is located about 650 light years from Earth and is about 15 light years from head to tail. This object is located in a very dusty region of the Milky Way, in the constellation Cepheus. This is a very faint target and was a challenge to capture and process. Thursday 9/14/23 and Friday 9/15/23 were clear nights with no Moon to contend with. Image was captured from my Bortle 4/5 backyard.
