I was just out shooting for fun last night. I took pics of Andromedia, Triangulum, Crab Nebula and I was trying to get pics of Barnard's loop (but it is still to low on the horizon). I got great pics of Andromeda, but there have recently been some nice posts of Andromeda so thought I would share Triangulum, a classic spiral. Triangulum is located below and to the right of Andromeda so it is an easy adjustment. Next time I shot Triangulum I think I am going to increase exposure time to 2.5-3 minutes and somehow I am going to capture more flats. I was happy to get the colors out with only 6 shots and just using regular camera gear. I have sort of made it my goal to figure out how to get the best pic I can with regular camera gear without purchasing and guiding gear. The question will be how long can I resist. It sure is fun to get a photo like this!
