Equipment Details:

Canon full spectrum with Visible + Ha filter, Samyang 135mm Lens 3.2sec f2 iso 12800 8 shots

Post-processing Details:

Sequator used to stack images
StarNet 2 used to create starless image
Affinity Photo 2 used to create a separate layer of stars only. Then substantial processing was completed on the starless image to enhance the colors and the clarity of the nebulae as well as the clouds in the Milky Way Core

Image Details:

My friend Ron was visiting and I was fooling around using 20mm and 14mm lenses showing him how we could take pics of the Milky Way. As we were finishing up I said maybe we should try a shot of the Milky Core with my Samyang 135mm f2 lens. It is just the lens to get the details in the core to appear. There is so much to see in the Milky Core. By separating the stars from the image and using Affinity Photo 2 you can really enhance the details in the Milky Core. After doing that you add the stars back and this is what you get. The coolest thing about this pic is that I did not have to use a tracker to get the shots. At 135mm 3 seconds is pretty much tops to take a pic and not get star trails. By using f2 and iso12800 I was able to capture enough light to develop this pic with only 3.2 second exposures and 8 shots. How exciting it is to take pics of the night sky.
