On the Mohawk River, in an inlet covered in plant life, a Great Blue Heron spreads it's wings, just above a Great Egret that is just flying away. Even though not the same, the egret is is in the same family, the Ardeidae family, as the heron. The Blue Heron was among six Egrets at the time.
