This osprey perched on spruce tree is about to fly back to its nest, about 100 yards. I was hoping to take pictures of the hatchlings but I didn't see them today.
Ospreys are also called sea hawks, fish hawks or river hawks. They like fish. And fish make up 99 percent of their diet.
The osprey is used as a brand name for various products and sports teams, such as the Seattle Seahawks, an American football team of the National Football League.
