As much as this looks like a sunset overlooking Albany, New York's capitol city, it is much earlier in the evening. The more than 150 active wildfires burning in Quebec this week have caused our skies to be hazy & the sun a bright reddish orange. This was taken Monday evening. As of Tuesday, going outside is pretty eerie. Very hazy and the smell of smoke. There is an air quality alert with the index at an unhealthy level in our area. Alerts were in effect across parts of the Northeast & the Midwest.
