Jupiter is seen shortly after exiting the Moon illuminated limb when the pair was only 12° above the horizon so the air turbulence was quite noticeable; the planet looks brighter than the dark Moon terrain, which exhibits the main basins and craters of the easterm lunar limb; image layout with south up and east left.
