This is a Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay, Aphelocoma woodhouseii. The males and females look the same besides a slight difference in size. I was concerned my blanket covering would not be enough to disguise my human shape but worked. These are absolutely the best bird images I've ever captured. Timing and steath help but it's still up to the birds.
