Image Details:

IC 1805 (The Heart Nebula) Thursday (9/29) was the first clear night we’ve had in a few weeks. My niece was getting married on October 1st, so perhaps the anticipation of the upcoming wedding was a little inspiration to go after The Heart.

IC 1805 is a large emission nebula in the constellation of Cassiopeia. Many other objects are captured in this object. Notably, the open star cluster in the center (Mel 115) and the Fishhead Nebula (IC 1795) in the lower right. The Heart is about 7,500 Light-Years away and about 107 Light-Years across.
