Image Details:

Hubby and I traveled higher into our sub-division last night after receiving the new Rokinon wide angle lens to photograph the Milky Way. To do so we needed to climb a steep hill upon an unpaved road, so we used our Toyota 4 Runner in 4 wheel drive; a rather steep incline with many ruts and ravines from downhill running water, you get the idea. We arrived at the top of the road/hill at sunset, took photos of that and waited and watched the sky turn brighter with the many glorious stars.
When it got dark enough and planes were absent we started to take photos. The lens captures very much and we are pleasantly impressed. The photo shows the Spanish Peaks in the back drop and the yellow dot in the far bottom left corner is a single light on a nightstand in our upstairs north bedroom of our house! Hope you enjoy the photo as much as we enjoyed the night air and sky. ^_^
