Conjunctions of Mercury with Regulus and TX Leo.
Mercury, which has been very difficult to see due to continuing bright volcanic sunsets, has recently been observed moving upwards each day through the Leo constellation in post-sunset twilight glow. The accompanying montage compares the conjunction of Mercury with Regulus at 6.15 pm on 4th August (left) with the conjunction of Mercury with TX Leo at 6.22 pm on the 8th (right).
