Equipment Details:

Nikon D750 (set to DX mode), Sky Watcher Evostar 72 ED, 85% focal reducer/corrector, Sky Watcher Star Adventurer tracker

Post-processing Details:

150 images shot with 1/10th second interval, processed in Lightroom Classic to crop and adjust exposure, then best frames stacked in PlanetarySystemStacker for sharper focus and detail

Image Details:

It was cloudy to the east when I went out to the northwest shore of White Rock Lake to capture the supermoon rising over the sailing club on the opposite shore of the lake. Initially the moon wasn't visible but the it eventually started peaking out of the clouds, appearing very orange.

Initially, my focus was on capturing images for a timelapse. Once that was underway, I worked on setting up my telescope. After spending time fine-tuning focus, I shot several sequences using an intervalometer. This shot was created by stacking the best images from the last sequence.
