A rare planetary alignment was showcased to the Astrophiles on the early morning of 24th & 25th of June around 03:00 a.m. to 05:00 a.m. The alignment was according to the increasing distance from Sun (Mercury, Venus, Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn).
The spectacular event took place from Eastern horizon to Southern skies. This event last happened in 2004 and it won't happen again until 2040. The Cresent Moon between the wanderers made the view a more exciting.
These two days were best time to get the view but 24th morning was a bit haze in the Kolkata skies though managed to get a clear view on 25th of morning. But missed the glimpse of Mercury as it was very close to horizon.
