This picture of the waxing crescent moon was taken approximately 8 mins before the actual moonset in the distance. The moon was fading but still clearly visble descending behind this 25 storeys high block of flat. At one look, it may look photoshopped but that is not the case. When zoom from afar , the moon looks huge in comparison with the building beside it as seen in a photograph. The moon was 19.8% full and 405, 282 km away from Earth. Usually the moon turns to bright orange during its setting. Minimal edit was made to the original photo, except for slight adjustment to the contrast and brightness. The moon is a beauty in whatever phase it is in and fortunately the skies were not too cloudy when I was taking the picture.
