Venus-Jupiter conjunction in volcanic sunrise glow above flowering Hibiscus, 30 Apr & 01 May

Venus-Jupiter conjunction in volcanic sunrise glow above flowering Hibiscus.
Clear dawn skies with strong volcanic sunrises on 30th April and 1st May provided spectacular views of the close conjunction between Venus and Jupiter. These were photographed to produce several beautiful composite images in which they are viewed above a flowering security light illuminated ‘Fifth Dimension’ Hibiscus plant in my back garden to a backdrop of brightening volcanic sunrise glow. The composites consist of merged near and far focus photographs taken in quick succession so that both foreground and planets are sharp! The results for 30 April and 01 May have been placed side-by-side to produce a mosaic which shows the shift in relative positions of Venus and Mercury on the two days of closest approach.
