Image Details:

The waxing gibbous moon at 97.7% full setting in the north west of Singapore at a distance about 386,500 km away from Earth. This picture was taken approximately ten minutes before the moonset. Usually the moon will not be clearly visible during the last 30 mins of its setting. Fortunately I was lucky to see it till the setting time as the skies were in favourable conditions for the sight. It look as though the moon was thrown into a cylinder as it was sandwiched between these 2 high rise flats about 31 storeys high. Relative to the flat's height, the moon as seen in this picture is as big as 4 storeys and normally it looks bigger than usual during the setting. The position of the moon was so precised and it was really a beautiful sight to see when the skies were still dark.
