Equipment Details:

Celestron 150mm XLT f/5 reflector, ZWO ASI533MC Pro camera with Optolong L-Pro filter, SkyWatcher EQ6R Pro mount.

Post-processing Details:

53 4-minute lights plus calibration frames were stacked using ImagesPlus; other post-processing was with Photoshop CS2 plus Astronomy Tools plugin, SiriL, PhotoScape X and MS Photo.

Image Details:

Messier 106 is an intermediate spiral galaxy that is about 24 million light years from Earth. It is similar in size and luminosity to the Andromeda Galaxy. The centre of Messier 106 contains a supermassive black hole. Look for Messier 106 in the constellation Canes Venatici.
