Equipment Details:

Lunt 40mm Hydrogen Alpha Solar Scope, ZWO ASI290MM camera with 1.5x Barlow, SkyWatcher Star Adventurer mount

Post-processing Details:

The best 330 frames were stacked using AutoStakkert and wavelets were adjusted using Registax 6. IMPPG and Photoshop were used for additional sharpening. Photoshop was used to adjust levels and contrast. PhotoScape X was used for minor noise reduction. False color was added using Photoshop.

Image Details:

This active area of the Sun contains 3 sunspot groups. Sunspots AR2954 and AR2955 are near the NE limb - these are the sunspots thought to be responsible for the massive farside solar flare and coronal mass ejection that occurred this past the weekend. The small sunspot near the right edge of the image is AR2953.
