Hello Everybody !
These two photos show the moon rising from behind the South Peak of the Horse Saddle Hill in Monterrey.

I took the picture at the right this last week and at the time I took it, my mind went to the one at the left that I took on Oct 26th 2015. This one at the left is the very first photo I sent to EarthSky ! Roughly it has been Six years and four months since that first photo, and makes me think, it has been a while and many things have happened in the meantime. Both photos were taken with similar equipment, Nikon Coolpix camera. Both photos were taken from home.
These two photos make me reflect in a certain way, that I completed a cycle.
I remember in those days I read EarthSky's articles and looked at all those beautiful pictures included in their content. I used to think, 'What would be needed to have one of these pictures published?' 'What an honour it would be!'. And I kept thinking what a great event it would be to have one's photo published in an article by an organisation such as EarthSky !!
The day I took that picture, in my mind I was wondering if it was good enough to send it to ES, perhaps not. In the end I decided to send it. I would not lose anything if I sent it and if I got  it published that would be great ! So I decided to send it. In those days there was no Community Photos Section. EarthSky provided in their website an email address for contact. They received the photos and if there was an article where they could use it and it was good enough they would send you an email advising that your photo was selected to be included in an article. First thing, good thing, my photo was received and not returned !!.... but the great part of it was that it was selected to appear in a publication !! This photo was included in the article See It!! Great photos of Hunter's moon (you can read the article in this link:  https://earthsky.org/todays-image/see-it-great-photos-of-hunters-moon/ ).
There is a story behind the cross at the top of the South Peak of the Horse Saddle Hill in Monterrey. Before the photo at the left,  there was a cross but a strong wind tore it down, so the photo at the left shows no cross. After three or four years they built a new one and installed it, which is the one shown on the photo at the right.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank, thank and thank EarthSky, Deborah and ALL the team members for all their kindness and support during this time. I am not mentioning anyone in particular because I do not want to omit no one. Congratulations for the extraordinaire EarthSky is, thank you for all the knowledge you share with all of us and thank you for receiving and uploading our photos and giving us the opportunity to share our photos in this community.
Warmest regards and salute to everyone.
