Comet A1 - Leonard
This celestial visitor is currently at a distance of 57 million kilometers from Earth. It is visiting us after a 35000 year journey from its Aphelion (farthest point of its orbit). It is moving closer to Earth and will be at the closest on Dec 12. Then it will move towards the sun and start its journey out of the Solar system, to be never seen again. Here it is seen passing
the bright star Arcturus. It was difficult to shoot through a thin cloud layer. It made all the stars hazy too.
