The path of the rising sun through the eastern sky of Singapore on the mornings around the 21st of each month, from January to June 2021.

After December 21st solstice, the sun's path starts drifting northward. At the Spring Equinox on March 21st, the sun's path follows the celestial equator and rises exactly in the east and sets exactly in the west. After the March equinox, the sun's northward shift continues till the June solstice on 21st, when the sun rises considerably north of east.

After the June solstice, the sun's path will start to drift back southward. By the September equinox, the sun will be again along the celestial equator, and this southward drift will continue till the December solstice on December 21st, when the sun will rise considerably south of east.
